Luffa or Loofah (loo-fah) – the dried fibrous part of the fruit of a luffa plant, a close relative of pumpkin, squash, and gourd. Commonly grown for the mature fruit’s dried fibrous interior that is used as a sponge.

Luffahs are biodegradable, vegan, cruelty-free, natural, and machine washable. After each use, rinse and dry thoroughly.

Our Luffahs are grown, handpicked, and dried in Crozet, Virginia. These are 4-6” cuts that are 3-4 inches diameter. We use them for dishwashing, general cleaning, and love them in the shower or bath for gentle exfoliation.

Because we do not use and chemicals or bleach, the luffahs can vary in color and have areas of discoloration. They can be composted or buried in the ground.
